Today, our team is pleased to announce our newly established Board of Advisors, who will help strengthen our position in the market by advising on matters of strategic importance, leverage decades of top-tier industry experience, broaden and deepen our relationships, and ensure continued growth and success.

Joining the advisory board is:
As Chairman, Mr. Jespersen will draw on past experiences in the technology sector and prior board designations to guide the group. This includes positions as Chairman of C.D. Howe Institute, Chairman of Geac Computer Corporation, Director of Axia NetMedia Corporation, and Lead Director at Telesystems International Wireless Inc. Mr. Jespersen has also led several large energy companies as a senior executive and served in government as Canadian Consul and Trade Commissioner for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as well as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Canada.
We are fortunate to have such a diverse Board of Advisors that can bring their extensive experience and expertise, which spans a variety of industry sectors. Board member Tracie Crook brings significant industry experience as a senior executive in the legal sector, not least of which includes her role as former Chief Operating Officer at McCarthy Tétrault LLP in Toronto. She also brings financial sector expertise, based on her work with the TSX group and ResMor Trust.
In addition, former US Ambassador to Canada, Gordon D. Giffin, will also be able to leverage his experience in government and international relations, along with his current position as Senior Partner and Global Vice-Chair Emeritus at Dentons. Beyond law firm expertise, strategic consultant Jean Cumming will support Alexa’s goals through her expertise advising on the future of law, new technologies, and business development. She also delivers strategic insights through a media and communications lens, utilizing her experience as editor-in-chief at Lexpert for over a decade. Bindu Cudjoe brings another facet of expertise to the board, as general counsel to CWB Financial Group, in addition to her leadership on the matters of diversity and innovation in the sector.
We are also fortunate to have Rob Brouwer on the board, as he brings valuable leadership, governance, and financial sector experience. His role at KPMG as Vice Chair in Canada, Regional Head of Markets for the Americas and a member of KPMG’s Americas Management Committee, along with his experience in securities, regulatory issues, and client services, will all play a helpful role in guiding strategic business decisions. When it comes to effective, diverse and balanced governance, Caroline Codsi is one of the best leaders in that space. Recognized as the Top 20 Diversity Leading Figure in Quebec, Top 75 Canadian Immigrant and Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada, and combined with the experience leading her organization, Women in Governance, Alexa Translations will no doubt benefit from her strategic and innovative counsel.
The Board’s combined skills in the above key areas will play a valuable role in guiding Alexa through new and exciting opportunities as well as help strengthen our commitment to being a trusted translations partner. Our CEO, Gary Kalaci, and the rest of the executive team are excited to welcome this knowledgeable, skilled group of leaders to guide the company through future success and expansion. Their collective expertise in areas such as legal, financial and government relations are key to Alexa’s growth strategy and commitment to superior client service in a quickly changing business landscape.
