L’ National Standard of Canada, CAN CGSB 131.10-2008, published by the Canadian General Standards Board, establishes and defines the requirements for the provision of translation services by translation service providers (TSPs). The standard is applicable to organizations as well as individuals providing the translation services described.
ISO 17100 is the internationally recognised standard for companies within the translation industry, which covers the essential processes for providing a translations service. Its aim is to outline the service a client will receive within a recognised set of procedures that are carried out to best practice. Application of this international standard also provides the means by which a translation service provider can demonstrate conformity of specified translation services to this international standard and the capability of its processes and resources to deliver a translation service that will meet the client?s specifications.
